With an annual turnover of 1.19 billion Euros in the financial year 2002/03 and approximately 5,800 employees, the TRUMPF group is one of the world's leading enterprises in the field of production technology. The four business segments - machine tools, laser technology, electronics/medical technology and power tools - are combined under the roof of a holding company. The core business is the flexible sheet metal processing for punching and forming, for laser processing and bending. In the field of industrial lasers and laser systems, the company with its headquarters in Ditzingen, near Stuttgart, is the technological and world market leader. The group is represented with 40 subsidiaries and branch offices in almost all European countries, in North and South America and in Asia. Production facilities are located in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Taiwan and in the USA.
